I think my favorite thing about the current fashion industry is that there is something for every personality, you can’t mess up! Right now we are heavily influenced by the 90’s, Chanel matching sets, casual pants suits for women, color blocking, monochrome looks, it’s endless. Which is what we focus on at Shy as well, we don’t have a singular woman in mind while designing a piece. We design with the idea that anyone, in any age range, would feel confident in our jewelry. I am so glad the gates are open; self-expression is one the most beautiful things in the world and I am proud to live at a time when this is fully embraced.

Well, we build a lot of our tips into our jewelry so you don’t have to think much about how something will fit.

For example, our bangles are all oblong shaped to follow the curves of your wrist. This is a better fit than the traditional bangle, which fails to accommodate for the curves on a woman’s body. And all our necklaces have four jump rings, to adjust to different necklines.
Yellow gold is making a big comeback—big, bold, yellow gold styles are hot! But remember, everyone has a different skin tone so stay true to what you feel looks best on you.
My biggest tip would be to go with your gut! When you try on that design and it just feels like it was made for you, you’ll know it right away, this subtle tingly sensation—almost like you’ve reunited with an old friend. Ha ha. There are times you’ll try on a piece of jewelry, and as it adorns your skin, you think, oh, how I’ve missed you, like it has been missing from yourself. Go with that feeling. That is the best!
